Remarque

The Canyons in the Matukituki Valley are on private land. For any private land in NZ, permission must be gained from the land owner before accessing a canyon. (It is possible to see the areas of legal public access and private land by visiting the website "www.wams.org.nz" which is a government website for the 'walking access mapping system WAMS')
Although some of these canyons are descended by the guiding company 'Deep Canyon' www.deepcanyon.co.nz, the land owners do not grant permission to recreational canyoners.
