Yes, the accident happened in Val Grande.
Three guides went down a T3 (not so marked in the topo guide of Ticino) just before the stone Bridge and the T20 / T25.
They got trapped in this small pool which creates a very strong backflow at high water level.
The strong backflow is not very obvious, especially when you have done the whole canyon on high water flow until you reach this pool as there are pools further up the canyon which looks much more demanding than this one.
Only one of the three guides managed to escape.
