Dear canyoneer,

A team of 15 Spanish Canyoneers have start-off the Peru Canyon Exploration Project, to opening cayon in this country.

In our First Expedition Gocta-2010 (June 18-July 17), we have open and descend one of the highest waterfalls in the world:
Gocta (771m.), at canyoning style (Expedition Diary follown this link: Gocta 2010 Diary).

But also, we have opened another 14 canyons and explored some caves in the same area, most of them with significant vertical (+200 m).
As for example:
Golondrina Inf. and Sup. ; Cucharita Sup and Inf. ; Lejia
Mirano ; Taishana ; Mata ; Chorro Negro ; Palomita
Escalon Inf y afluente.
The storms have prevented us from opening more Cayon. There remained for the next Expedition (Jumbilla 890m. Chinata-540m.).
