Trümmelbach I & II have been done yesterday by Pascal, Luis & me
The highest canyon in Switzerland

and probaly from Europe, counting the height of the first anchor
We did two sections 2650m – 2360m and 2160m – 1970m
The first section starts a bit disappointing and is only a small crag 1m deep, but then it starts to get deeper and more interesting.
From the middle of the first section, the canyon is between 2m-4m deep, nice shaped and very narrow.
You have to take off the bag to squeze trough with one section which is around 20m deep with some ice inside.
The highest waterfall is 40m. We stopped before the ice & gravel field from the real Eigerglacier.
The second part starts with some nice walking and down climbing in highly polished white limestone rock.
After the bridge at 2098m the canyon becomes really good. Very nice shaped, deep and super rock for 4-5 perfect waterfalls.
Then 2 more and less interesting waterfalls to the end.
The highest waterfall for the second part is 37m.
We placed in total 17 bolts and did several technical down climbs.
For me the rating was 2.5/4 for the upper part and 3.1/4 for the lower part.
I expected especially the upper part to be better
But nevertheless it is definetly worth do to it.
We took the train to Eigerglacier station and walked up for 45min.
The first part is 1.5-2h, the second part 1.5h
The walk in between is 20min, the walk out of the canyon to Wengeneralp is 45min
